Range Rover Classic Mazda TDi diesel conversion

 

This is quite a rare beast as are all the old classics now. nbsp;and is the car it always should have been which Land rover never made. onversion was carried out by renowned diesel specialists Motor and Diesel Engineering in 1990 and even has their quite hard to find handbook. I can hand on heart say its the best pulling engine I've ever come across in one of these it really is nippy and remarkably economical and being a manual suppose that helps too. ts the one to have being the 3. 5 turbo intercooled. Also has a stainless large exhaust all the way through

 

As you can see it has a couple of other mods ie the arches and infill panel to the boot I believe these are wood and picket items . ind of makes it stand out and the wider wheels and track really do help wonders none of the extreme lean angles when cornering . suspect other things may have been done under there as it really does handle well for one of these. he roof spoiler I can take or leave but thats new owners choice.

 

colour looks good and was obviously a profesional job as it shines very well but there are the odd bubble here and there but from 5 yards cant see them. Tailgates are both good and fasten. Top of rear bumper bubbly. both sills have been welded in past looks a nice neat job. rear crossmember good too.

 

Interior is very good I sourced it as the car did have very light silver grey leather that had seen better days . f anyone wants it its ready for the tip but its there if you feel the need. Headlining has been replaced with a fibreglass version so looks spot on. Alpine cd changer and head unit fitted with Alpine speakers. central locking hit and miss. more miss. ront windows not working haven't investgated

 

Also comes with a October MOT and tax end of April.

 

So there you have it  an old Range Rover Classic that performs very well and has the usual bits and bats to keep you occupied if it were a 90 you'd pay a fortune and I know where I'd rather be sat  . really like it and had considered keeping it as prices only going up on these old classics and with winter looking like its lasting until next winter a very useful thing. But i just dont use it enough so here she is testing the water

Just wondering if you can help me? I have recently bought this car from a guy in Lincoln. It has come with no history and I'm doing some digging to revive some history.

Could you possibly tell me the date you took this car in and when you sold it and the rough amount you sold it for? I have also emailed the conversion company as well to get some info on the engine conversion.
