Volkswagon Golf GTI Mk1. Road Legal, Rally/ Hill Climb/Track Car. for sale

In its early life this VW Golf Gti Mk 1 was Professionally converted by a Volkswagon Garage into a Rally/Hill Climb/Track Car to entertain Volkswagon Customers.
It Has a full Roll Cage. Bucket Seats. Full Harness and an Alloy Fuel Tank mounted in the Spare wheel well.
A huge bonus is that it is also fully Road legal with a V 5 showing only one previous owner and a long MOT until 16/5/2017.
Up until 1993 it had covered 54000 miles (according to old Mot's) and it is then believed to have had an Engine rebuild when the clock was set to zero. The clock now reads 008460 which is the Mileage since the engine rebuild. This can be backed up by the Mot history and the two mileages added together total approx 62000 Miles so it is in fact a very rare low mileage example.
There are several old Bills. Mot's and History that come with the car which help to tell its story but the crucial thing is that it is currently in very good condition with the Engine. Gearbox etc being excellent and is ready for action.
My Son and I have had a lot of fun with the car but it is now up for sale if the right person comes along that wants a nice example of the ever appreciating Golf Gti Mk 1 along with a unique blend of a Road legal Rally/Hill Climb/Track car.
