MY AUSTIN SEVEN ROLLING CHASSIS HAS BEEN RESTORED AND IS NOW OFFERED FOR SALE ONLY DUE TO A NEW PROJECT.

 

This is a superb and rare opportunity to body this early magneto engine car in the body of your choice. be it an Ulster replica or perhaps return the car to full chummy specification.

I intended to put a Brescia style body on the car and started a simple timber frame for such a design. which can be included if the buyer wishes.

 

The seven has had the chassis rails replaced with new Items but comes with the front section of what remains of its original chassis. bearing its 1926 chassis no. 25322.

 

The engine has previously been rebuilt and I have had it running very well in the recent past.

The carburetor has been overhauled and the car also comes with a fine Bosch magneto. although that will need over-hall.

 

3 speed gearbox.

 

1930-31 rear axle. stronger and better for competition.

 

The rear crown wheel and pinion is 5. 25. the original will go with the car.

 

My Austin has the sought after solid center wheels. new ‘Blockley' tyres . steering wedge and flattened rear springs  (the original springs will be included).

 

This should be a very straightforward project and a real head start once you order that body from the various suppliers now making them.

What a nice looking rolling chassis.I am not interesting in buying but I have a very nice 1929 Works replica Eng.no.M25887. I was wondering what size tyres were on you car and if the rims are aluminium. My car has Duralium Alloy 18 inch X 36 spoke wheels laced to standard A7 centres.
