1926 Bayliss-Thomas Sports Touring Car
An amazingly original car in one ownership since the 1950 s. this delightful four cylinder ohv Meadows engined example has a lovely three speed gearbox. starts on the button. and gives positively zippy performance with a top speed of around 80 kph. The car is totally original but for a recent repaint in the original colour. In excellent mechanical condition. minor attention to items like the original wiring will make this even better to use. The hood fabric on the one-man top is now somewhat brittle but intact. and a full set of side curtains survives under the commodious rear seat. Very rare and very British. The car is in amazingly original condition for its age. The present owners bought this in the 1950 s and commuted to university with it. Since then it has seen occasional use on club outings and for picnic runs. Everything works well. but of course the wiring is 87 years old so beginning to crack. An upgrade of the very simple wiring loom would be advisable.
