Volvo PV 544 Rally car project. An original stage prepared rally car just imported from Sweden. Very solid car with great spec.
Fully seam welded shell with full roll cage
Kohlers Racing rally prepared engine 1800 cc with twin weber 45 DCOE
Oil cooler
4 branch big-bore exhaust
CR gearbox
Limited-slip diff
Full length sump-guard
Reinforced suspension with Bilstein shocks
Big brakes adjustable F-R
Fly-off Handbrake
Period rally equipment including seats. belts. 2-way radio & mechanical Halda tripmeter
Period stickers & unique artwork on the rear wings
This is a very quick running. driving car that was last used in the eighties (apart from a few doughnuts in our carpark) that would suit someone looking for a high-spec PV 544 but wants to build it themselves. The car is very solid. especially underneath. but needs to be stipped. repainted and put back into action.
The PV 544 makes for a fantastic all-round Historic rally car. They are tough & light with great traction and very strong engines. For more pictures including original action shots follow this link
