10 th Feb 1983 – BS 6745 registration included. Tudor White with Isis Blue leather. Extras include air conditioning. cruise control. electric sunroof. electric height drivers seat. Philips FM radio/cassette. electric aerial. chrome waistband. headlamp wipe. mud flaps. rear seat belts. electric mirrors. rear headrests and factory wax oiling (included on original bill of sale).
From the moment Jaguar launched their 12 cylinder XJ models back in 1972 to the day they ceased production of this series 3 V 12 in 1992. motoring magazines always described them as the best luxury car in the world. Even all these years on. they are still so very impressive to drive. This model is the first of the revised cars after the original 1979 launch. The 1983 model year examples boasted a new style centre console. thicker steering wheel. better seating. a new range of road wheels and colour schemes. Our car was purchased new by Mr Bill Stone and owned by him until his passing a few months ago. The supplying dealer (Mann Egerton) have been the only people to service this car during his 32 year ownership. We have the original log book. plus all handbooks. original bill of sale and a fully stamped service book 1 k. 4 k. 7 k. 9 k. 12 k. 14 k. 17 k. 18 k. 20 k. 23 k. 24 k. 25 k. 26 k. 29 k. 31 k. 33 k. 37 k. 38 k. 39 k. 42 k and 43 k.
