Current customer rating:
1939 Peugeot 202 Berline Sedan
You are considering owning an
extremely rare . pre-war classic French sedan the vaunted 202. There are fewer than a half a dozen 202's in the U. S. and this could possibly be the nicest 202. available. I purchased this gorgeous example in the autumn of 2013. from a well-known shop in Aalter. Belgium. I have owned two pre-war Citroen 11 CV's. but have always loved the lines of the Peugeot 202. The problem always was there
weren't
any in the United States. The photographs speak volumes regarding the car. but here are a few highlights.
The car is finished in Bordeaux exterior in very good condition. There is no rust. whatsoever. What chrome there is. is in fine shape. The interior is finished in period fabric is very good to excellent condition. All glass is in very good to excellent condition. The carpets/mats are in very good condition. The car starts readily. runs superbly and drives much better than my former 11 CV's. Lights. turn signals (Labinals). brake lights. pilot (parking) lights. panel lights. dome light and the rest are all functional. The car is equipped with a rare (for a 1939) sliding steel sunroof factory original to the car. The car has Robri fender guards and a Robri exhaust embellishment. Tires are in very good condition.
The car is located in Santa Barbara. having made the journey from Zeebrugge (Amsterdam port) through the Panama Canal. to Central Coast California.
The car is registered in California. with a clear California title.
*** The car is being advertised elsewhere and locally. I reserve the right to end the e Bay auction early. the event of an outright sale.
Please e-mail me with any questions. Best of luck.
