Current customer rating:
1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Roadster.
Of a total production of 1281 Phantom II's. this motorcar is one of just of 21 short chassis Phantom II's they ever made .
I was told by the folks in England at Rolls Royce that this car is the only known short chassis Phantom II built that was not a Continental. Making it a very. very rare motorcar. I have checked every component and matched it with the original factory build sheets. It all matches. It has only 17. 00 original miles.
This engine has never been screwed with. It runs and drives like a new car. and everything works yes even the original Hobson Telegage petrol indicator. I've owned 76 classic cars. and the is the first one where the gas gauge actually works.
In addition. it is fitted with a Laycock Overdrive unit allowing it to travel highway speeds. It starts on a dime and runs like a Swiss watch. And with the overdrive. it's fast and a pleasure to drive.
My records date back to 1945.
Originally the car was bodied as a Pullman Landaulet by Barker. custom ordered and sent to Scotland. The exact year it was re-bodied is unclear. but it would have been post WWII. Regardless. the classifications committee for the Classic Car Club of America has deemed this particular car a 'full classic'. A letter from the CCCA accompanies the car.
I had it sent over from England last year where my restorers replaced the fabric body covering and leather upholstery. Wilton wool carpeting. door panels. tires. Brazilian cherry wood running boards and convertible top with new. This restoration is completely 'fresh' and ready to show at any of the top concourse events. The leather wrapped front leaf springs. called gators. are factory the rears are new. Included in the sale is enough burgundy fabric to completely re-do the car one more time. This material is of the same die lot as the covering I used last year during it's cosmetic restoration. The car is still has the factory 7 ft. muffler. tail pipes and exhaust tip. Includes the original. and working. boa constrictor horn. and hand lever controlled headlamp dipping mechanism and radiator louver shutter system. Tail lights. brake lights. brights. turn signals and fender lights all work as they should. Radiator core and exhaust manifold gaskets are new. The nickel plating on the radiator shroud. headlights. sideview mirror and fender [wing] lights is factory original.
I also have the original owner's manual. the MOT registration stamps dating back to 1945. Also accompanying the car is the English steel embossed license plate which had been with the car since new. In the tool box is the original wheel remover. grease gun and jack. In the trunk is the factory hand crank. not that it's ever been used.
I am the documented 4 th owner. Transport: I have both an international shipper and a domestic shipper that can safely assure your new Rolls-Royce arrives secure and sound.
This is a stunning car and needs absolutely nothing. Make an offer.
