V5 shows just 2 owners and the last owner for 16 yearsVery well looked after car which was resprayed about 15 years ago and still remains in good order. The hood and the carpets have been replaced in the last few years and still look like new. Recent expenditure includes replacement sills. new shocks and propshaft coupling. new water pump and thermostat housing. new plugs points and condenser.
The Hillman is incredibly solid with good chassis and floorpans. really tidy under the bonnet with a nicely detailed engine bay and what looks like original unwelded inner wings.
Drives superb. will happily cruise at 60mph and keep up with modern day traffic. Motd with no advisories.
Nice history file with original service book and handbook. workshop manual and 15 previous mots and a photograph album showing 80 plus photos of refurbishment / restoration.
This is a nice example of a rare 60s four seater convertible which are now very hard to find in this kind of condition. I only just bought this car but unfortunately I have difficulty getting in and out of it due to a recent injury which I did not consider when I purchased it. Reserve price is set much lower than the price I paid for the car just a few days ago.
The winning bidder is required to pay a £250 deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction and collect the car and pay in full cash on collection within 5 days.
