1978 MK1 GOLF LD SERIES 1 VW VOLKSWAGEN RARE for sale

For sale – 1978 Series 1 MK 1 golf 1. 5 LD
Unfortunately it's time to sell on my pride and joy. here is a rare opportunity to own a really classic old MK 1 golf. MK 1 golf production started in 1974. 4 years later the first Diesel golf's were rolled out.
My golf is from the first year that VW rolled out the diesel MK 1 golf's and the engine still runs like a dream!! The LD model is a very rare model and I only know of 2 others in the UK!! (thats not to say there isn't more than that). These classic cars are going up and up in value!!
Details:
1978 1. 5 LD
Recently refurbished BBS RM 012. new tyres all round.
New AP coilovers.
Original Chrome bumpers & door window trims.
New Windscreen & Rear window chrome trim.
Mint Brown Interior.
Postie rear lights.
Under 100 k genuine miles.
MOT till April.
Currently sorn . I will tax if bidding gets to £3500
This is the most reliable mk 1 I've owned and has never let me down and starts first time even after being left for months. The old diesel engines are miles better than the old petrol ones.
Please appreciate that this is a 35 year old car and is not perfect below I have listed areas that need some attention and that if I were to keep it I would be looking to sort out. I'm being completely honest as to not waste anyone's time. I think the areas could be fairly easily sorted and shouldn't put you off:
Sills have small area of rust (see pic)
Bottom of the doors has small amount of rust
Rear lower panel the paint has cracked (see pic)
Boot slam panel has rust away in places (see pic) **I do have a replacement rear small light panel for this area which wasn't cheap to get hold of.
Most of the ‘usual' places that go on the MK 1's are fine i. e fuel filler area. suspension struts. spare boot well. arches.
Other bits I should mention:
Rear window winding mechanism has been taken out to stop children winding windows down. I have the mechanisms they just need putting back it.
Wiring has been re-wired to push start and on/off switch for heating.
