Series 2 Land Rover 1962

We acquired this Land Rover a year ago with the sole intention of restoring it to its former glory.

The Land Rover drives fantastically well and sits very nicely on the road. its an absolutely pleasure to drive

List of works carried out:

Whole Body Taken Off

Chassis striped back and repainted (solid)

New Rear half shaft fitted

New dampers fitted

New copper brake lines and cylinders fitted

New front swivels fitted

New fuel lines fitted

New rear springs fitted

Tank taken off and cleaned

Brand new exhaust system

Axles resembled

Free wheeling hubs rebuilt

CAV injector pump reconditioned

Engine timing sorted (No Smoke)

New heavy duty Yuasa battery fitted

New floor and floor braces to rear tub

Rebuilt Fairey overdrive fitted with all new bearings. clutch dog and main shaft. Very quiet in use and a smooth in & out motion with no whip.

Whole body respray (Bare Metal) in correct deep bronze green spent two months in the body shop

Stainless steel nuts and bolts used to replace existing

Body put back on with all panels lining true to each other

New correct series 2 door tops and door bottoms

New Interior

New Front Bumper

Gear box including clutch stripped and checked all new oils

Rear check straps fitted

Lucas wiper motors stripped checked cleaned and reassembled

All metal trims regalvanized

Wheels shot blast. galvanized and powder coated in correct bronze green

New lights fitted including up rated halogen head lights (very powerful)

wiring loom has been completed by auto electrician and is of a very high standard The underside is also fantastic

The Land Rover has 59000 miles on the clock has a very strong 2. 25 diesel engine which doesn't smoke. She has a 3/4 canvas til.

7. 5 x 16 Tyres. all the correct period touch's including a very nice smiths heater which works a treat including correct blowers. she has an electrical ignition fitted for easy of use. a positive earth wiring loom and a new alternator. /
The bulk head was taken off and repaired by a very knowledgeable fabricator its now completely flawless. The land rover drives extremely well feels tight to the road and never seems to murmur.

She has a brand new mot with no advisory's and 12 months tax. (she is a tax free example)
