Volkswagen Westfalia Campers were conversions of the Volkswagen
Type 2 sold from the early 1950 s through to 2003. Volkswagen
subcontracted the modifications to the company Westfalia-Werke in
Rheda-Wiedenbrück with production of Volkswagen camper variants
continuing until as late as 2003 based on the Kombi then the
Vanagon and finally. the Transporter.
This example is in generally good all round condition
having been restored and customised by Kombi Klassics in Dorset.
The mileage is showing 74. 00 miles however. this is unwarranted
and there is little or no history or documentation available apart
from the build sheet and the work carried out by Kombi Klassics.
The striking colour combination. inspired by a Porsche of the same
colour. matches the overall attitude of the van. The suspension has
been lowered and a two litre Porsche engine coupled to a limited
slip differential enhance the mechanics and chassis. finishing it
to a very high standard. The original lifting roof section has been
replaced with a full-length sunroof. The interior. a cross between
Porsche re-trimmed leather seats and Danbury tourer bed/seats and
kitchen unit. are in very good condition and. combined. create a
funky and modern interpretation of this classic. Supplied with
eleven months left to run on the Mo T test certificate. it
represents huge value for money and comes just in time for those
big rollers at Sennen Cove…
