1956 AMC Nash Rambler Cross Country Station wagon, Factory AC, 3 spd w/overdrive

A Rarely seen 1956 Nash Rambler Cross Country Station Wagon. refinished in its original colors of ballainerina red (pink tone)-grey and white 3 tone paint. RARE FACTORY AIR CONDITION. nbsp;has original factory air conditioning emblems on both doors.  AC blows cool but not ice cold and is fixable! I have taken the time to troubleshoot what it will take to fix the AC and that is to have compressor rebuilt along with new Drier and expansion valve and parts are available to do this so depending on where her next home is. AC may not be an issue but if your live in a warm climate than the good news is it can be easily fixed!  More often than not these Rambler Station Wagons are usually in unrestored shape and in need of complete restoration but this wagon while not a trailer queen she is in pretty remarkarkable condition. The interior has been redone in grey cloth & pink vinyl which goes perfectly with the outside color scheme and looks period correct. The front & rear bench seats were done with new factory correct door panels and the cargo area panels too. This Nash has the SUPER RARE front seat reclines in 4 positions and folds down into a bed. New headliner. New grey carpet. Dash is all original and finished in grey. Has factory working AM radio. all 4 factory hubcaps have been polished. Bumpers and guards were rechromed. The original 6 cylinder engine runs nice and smooth and the drivetrain has had over $5k worth of restoration including full engine tune-up. new fuel pump. belts and fluids. The transmission is a 3 speed on the tree and has an overdrive actuator pull knob which works and allows easier cruising on the freeway!  Transmission was serviced. rear differential was serviced. new battery with new cables. rebuilt carburetor. radiator removed and recored. new radiator hoses. new bulbs all around. new heater core. gas tank removed and restored. completely new brakes and wheel cylinders with new brake booster & master cylinder. Clutch adjusted and in great shape. new ignition switch. I have receipts of all of this work. Cosmetically the car is again in amazing overall condition! The man I bought it from told me the car had original paint and had a few minor flaws which were nothing to worry about and he had it color sanded and buffed. comes with the original rare Rambler gas cap ( big R). the grill is in perfect shape. Taillight housings are in great shape. all Lenses are in great condition. All the weather stripping is original and in good condition. All the gauges word except the clock. All 4 light switches work properly and were serviced to ensure that the interior dome light comes on when any of the doors open as well as the glove box light! steering wheel has been restored and is grey in color. Window cranks all work properly and pretty smooth. All the glass is original and in excellent condition. The windshield is completely free of any scratches or damage. Nice original Roof rack. Turn signals work . Outside Trim is in nice original shape with only a couple of flaws which include the upper taillight trim and minor ding in one piece of side trim.

Front end suspension/steering is in good condition and the car drives & rides very nice. There are 4 new tires as well. The undercarriage shows no sign of rust. The factory undercoating is still present and in good shape. This wagon always starts right up and idles nicely. its runs down the road with no issues. engine runs cool and the wagons stops properly.

This Nash Wagon always draws a crowd wherever I have taken her because lets face it. having a Nash Station Wagon is funky and cool! This Nash Rambler Station Wagon is a great little wagon with lots of work already done to her and optioned with some very rare options such as Air Conditioning. the Super Rare front reclining seats which make into a bed. This is really a wonderful and remarkable car that looks great and runs great and will turn head everywhere you take her. Because you don't see these Rambler Wagons for sale very often especially in as nice of condition as this one is. then that alone makes this a very special Station wagon Ready to add to someone collection or to become someone's weekend fun car and absolutely can be someone's everyday driver! She is now ready for someone to own and she will bring whoever that is many years of joy and pleasure!
