Genuine Mk 1 Golf 20 v T
welcome to my sale of an amazing car. I bought her as a complete but slightly tired looking Campaign with only 84000 miles with original engine and had a great summer with her. put on some coilovers and the Porsche D 90's then added the seats from a Seat Leon as the originals were beyond saving. . hen had the great idea of fitting a 20 v Turbo.
Nearly 2 years later and a whole lot of money I finished her. Its a proper quick little car with a pretty impressive spec list as follows- 20 v Turbo engine with K 03 s turbo (covered around 66000 miles before removal from a rear ended mk 4 golf gti)Mk 2 diesel Radiator Intercooler Seat Leon seats front and rear New Headlining New front Duck bill and original Zender rear spoiler Megasquirt MS 2 ECUQpeng down pipe with Wideband Lambda Porsche D 90's in Matt black with NSF in Candy pink 8" wide rears and 6" wide fronts running brand new 195/40 r 16 Falkens G 60 calipers with big servo conversion 02 A gearbox 5 speed Coilover kit Front and rear Strut brace Full Ashley exhaust system Trailtech Vapor Digital dash with Gear change light
Body has had a full respray in Ral 7040 fenster grau after having new Front and rear panels fitted. 2 new front wings and rear arches welded in and rolled.
This is by no means a finished car but I have driven her to work and back pretty much everyday for the last 4 months. clocking up around 1500 miles. There are lots of little jobs that need doing to make her perfect but I have run out of time. I am buying a house and need to sell car to do so.
The bodywork is straight and rust free. paintwork is pretty good but not show condition. The sunroof cable has jammed so I don't use it. To be honest I would remove the roof skin and fit a fibreglass or carbon one if I was keeping her. The wheels were powdercoated in candy pink but I have changed them to Matt black as I work at a wheel refurbishment company. I have left the N/S/F wheel in candy pink as it looks trick and makes her stand out that little bit.
The Megasquirt ECU has a basic map put in and would benefit from a rolling road day to get the most out of her. It still spins the wheels through 1 st. 2 nd and 3 rd if you push it hard ( Not on the queens highway officer!) with the boost locked off at 9 psi
If you are seriously interested in the car and want to know more you can ask me questions and I will respond on here with my mobile number. The car ran out of tax end of January so she is sitting at work while I sell it. I can tax it upon sale agreed.
Overall its been a real fun car and I loved building it. The looks you get from everyone makes it real fun to cruise around in. everyone loves it. I wish I could keep it but my family come first. I will not sell this for silly money. the build cost alone is over 6 k. I am realistic though and know what I need so will hang on for the right offer.
