Original and Stock 6v Beryl Green 1962 Volkswagen VW Beetle

Deluxe Wolfsburg Edition

Here we have for sale a beautiful. original Beryl Green 1962 Volkswagen VW beetle deluxe Wolfsburg edition. This is a very rare color that you never see on beetles. The bug is absolutely beautiful. It is in amazing condition! The car is nice and dry and was originally imported and driven in California. I am the second owner of the bug. I bought it from the original owners here in Nevada. They took extremely good care of the beetle and always garage kept it. There is absolutely no rust on the entire car. The pan is in spectacular original painted black condition. with no damage to it or rust. The battery tray is often rusted out but not on this gem! The VW runs and drives amazingly. The bug drives nicer then any other bug that I have ever driven. The steering is very tight and has isnt sloppy and loose. The suspension is very plush and you could take a very long drive no problem in the bug. You can tell that this was always driven and taken great deal of care of. The brake stop very nice and strong! I wanted the bug to be very reliable and be able to feel confident to take it for as long of drive as you wanted. The exterior of the car is in amazing shape. I just had a brand new paint job done on the car. I duplicated and matched the original Beryl Green color and kept the original color this is just so cool looking! The body has no damage or dents on it. The fenders and doors all fit very nice. The door shut like a new VW and they open very easily also. Check out the original Wolfsburg emblem on the hood! The bumpers are in great shape and have a little bit of patina on them. They have some really neat old decals on them.  An old US Military Hospital parking pass or permit. and an old Service Station decal on the rear.   Check out the cool original accessory EMPI bumper guards attached to the front and rear bumpers! They are original. geniune EMPI's and are from back in the day and just look plain cool. You do not see bugs with them.  The original two toned painted wheels and trim rings are in great shape. The original size radial tires are all nice and have a lot of life left in them. The rubber is all brand new throughout the entire car. Every window has new rubber with the stainless trim in them. The front window is brand new but all of the other windows are all original to the bug. The car even has the original German VW running boards on it! How cool is that? They are built that well that they are still intact on the car to this day. The trim is stainless steel and is perfect. The fender welting is all in great shape. The beetle is still the original 6v electrical system. All of the electrical works in the car. There is a brand new 6v battery installed under the rear seat. All of the wiring is in fantactic shape and has no issues.  I wanted to make sure there would be no electrical issues. The engine is brand new in the bug!! I had a professional VW engine building company rebuild the original 1200cc 40HP stale air engine. The engine has about 200 miles. I just broke in the engine with high dollar air cooled specific engine oil. I put a new clutch. throw out bearing and clip on the engine. The car shifts so smoothly and effortlessly. The engine is set up with the unique "stale air" heating system. The engine compartment looks so much better without those unsightly heater tubes coming from the fan shroud. The heating system is all refurbished with the stale air boxes getting a special black heat coating so that they can last the test of time! Even the original exhaust was heat coated black. It gives the engine that perfect original look. The engine was bored to a 1385cc to give it more power. I choose to do that because it is undetectable from the outside of the engine. There is no way to tell that the engine was bored and I wanted to keep the bug looking all original and stock in the engine compartment. Everything was redone in the engine. The original 40hp engine was bumped up to 1385cc's though. My engine builder machined the cases to accept a modern. more reliable 1600cc crank. That is the weak point on the 1200cc's is the crank so it was upgraded to make it totally reliable for driving. The Solex carburetor is brand new and is set up with a manual choke. The original 6v German Bosch generator was rebuilt by a generator/altenator shop in town. The distributor. fuel pump. are all new. The engine is all sealed so it does not leak any oil. So nice! I chose brand new German Bosch spark plug wires and plugs. All of the engine tin were powdercoated original gloss black and the original 40 horse intake was powder coated original VW grey. The original 1962 air cleaner was powder coated as-well. The interior of the bug is very nice. It is very cool looking and has a nostalgic feel to it. The interior was redone a few years back. The seat covers are all in great shape. The original style headliner is very nice. There are little glue stains on it here and there. The beetle still has the original door panels. arm rests and door and window handles! The original VW Wolfsburg seat belts are nice too. They were all never touched and messed with in all these years. The paint on the interior is also all original VW Beryl Green. The dash is very nice on the car. Check out the super rare accessory Motorola 6v radio! Check out the extremely rare VDO German accessory glove box door clock. That was an accessory that was installed in the VW when bought new. It still works great too. all you have to do is wind up the mechanism on the back. Its a nice touch to have an original clock in your car. The bug also has an original working cigarette lighter too! There are just so many accessories on the bug its awesome! The original steering wheel is very nice. The original horn ring was repaired at one time. The radio is not hooked up because its just AM. I do not know about you but I do not want to listen to the AM radio while cruisin' around in this cool little bug. So a radio was installed under the dash. Thank god the original owner did no cut the dash! The radio sounds great! Also. check out the cool aftermarket 1960's Stewart Warner AMP. Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature gauges! They all work too! I did not hook up the temperature gauge though. There are a few chrome plugs in the dash. The original windshield wipers work. The expensive original style german weave carpet is in really nice shape! The horn works. the turn signal all work and self cancel just like new! The radio and speaker can be removed to have that total stock look in the interior. No modifications were done to install the radio because I did not want to alter the originality of the car. There is a little burn mark on the back seat. I do not know who that got there. it was there when I bought the car. The dome light does not work but it is original. The bulb might just be burnt out. The front trunk compartment has a new original style fiberboard liner and cover on the dash area. just like it would come with from the factory! The original spare wheel and German bias ply tire are very nice.  Check out how nice the spare tire compartment is! The original jack. the original paint and the original Beryl Green paint sticker are in amazing shape. The original Beryl Green is still all present under the fenders. The stock suspension has all original black paint on it and has no rust.  Everything. all over is so nice on the car. There is some little signs of wear here and there but overall its in very nice condition. I have a clean and clear Nevada title in my name. I welcome overseas bidders. I will assist in coordinating with the shipping company that the buyer chooses. I can store the car and help assist the shipper in loading the car too. I like to be as helpful as possible! If you have any questions with the vw please call me at 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!
