The Jaguar MK2 was a mid-size four-door sedan. or saloon. produced by the Coventry. England-based Jaguar Company. The MK2 was a more compact version of the MK VII. which owners had criticized as being too large for British roads. Jaguar produced the MK2 from 1959 to 1967. Enthusiasts today regard the MK2 as perhaps the most classic Jaguar ever produced because it epitomized founder Sir William Lyon's rule that his cars must possess "grace. pace and space. "

This car is still currently in the “build up” phase as you can see from the pictures however is finished to concourse levels!

The car is an all matching numbers Mk2 3. 8 with Opalescent Gunmetal Grey & Red Leather Hide. as it was originally matching the heritage certificate!

Listed below are what has / will be done to the car:

Full engine rebuild. including the following:
Re-bore and hone 6 cylinder block and hone to finish size
6 x New Pistons with rings
Remove core plugs and clean out cylinder block
Supply and fit new core plugs to cylinder block

Re-grind and polish crankshaft to finish size
1 x Main bearing set
1 x B/End bearing set
1 x Thrust washer set

Strip cylinder head
Decoke and clean
Pressure test cylinder head
Supply and fit all new valve guides
Machine out exhaust valve seats
Supply and fit 6 new heavy duty exhaust seat inserts
Re-cut all valve seats
6 x New exhaust valves
6 x New inlet valves
Lap in all valves and vacuum test
Skim cylinder head face
Assemble with new oil seals
Re-fit camshaft assemblies and re-adjust tappets

1 x Payen head gasket set
1 x PayenConversion gasket set

Bare metal respray. car bare metalled all over and painted the same underneath as on top.

New panels with all rusty metal being replaces with new metal. including: 4 x door skins. 2 x sills. 2 front wing repairs. All joints Lead Loaded!

New leather seats. matched to the original grain. Remember this is an early Mk2 with the original reclining front seats

New carpets
