LOW RESERVE. This car has been garaged since 1976. At that time the transmission went out and the owner — a doctor in Columbus, OH — garaged it. It sat there until a father and son bought it at the previous owner's estate sale in 2012. They had a mechanic get the car running again, but discovered on the test drive that the transmission never shifted out of first gear. They were in over their heads financially and sold it to me. I had a transmission shop fix the transmission only to blow the engine on the drive home. (No one told me about the speed hold switch. Now I will never forget it.) Found a correct donor engine sitting in a barn in WV and had it rebuilt up to 95% complete. We were trying to turn it over when I got sidetracked with work and relocation and had to garage it, so it is very close to the finish line. Next owner will need to invest a bit to finish the engine rebuild, but it was done correctly and just needs finishing touches. Transmission is ready to rock with only the one short, tragic drive logged. I have receipts from that repair job and lots of pre-1976 receipts. This is a very honest, original, unrestored (except for motor) example. 72 K original miles and garaged for 46 years! OTHER NOTES: Some of interior dash is disassembled. I took it apart to refinish it, but got sidetracked with the engine rebuild. But all parts are in the cockpit and in original condition. Will need to be towed upon sale.SHIPPING: Buyer responsible for shipping or pick-up. Happy to meet shipping agent or new owner at prearranged day and time.QUESTIONS: Feel free to ask me anything. Happy to try and answer.
