Motoe Xotica Classic Cars presents a tow truck capable of getting the job done right with this 1950 Chevrolet 3600 Pickup with a frame-off restoration and rarely seen all-steel hand crank winch.

General Motors' first major redesign post-WWII. the Advance Design series was billed as a bigger. stronger and sleeker design. First available in 1947. these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until 1955 when Task Force Series trucks replaced this model. From '47-'55. Chevrolet trucks were No. 1 in sales in the U. S. While GMC used this front end on all of its trucks except for the Cab Overs. there are three main sizes of this truck—the half-ton (3100). the three-quarter ton (3600) and the full ton (3800) in short and long wheelbase. Major upgrades in 1950 included telescopic shock absorbers replacing lever-action type. It was the last year for a driver's side cowl vent. Its handle was now flat steel. not a maroon knob as in previous years.

This Advance Design truck you see pictured is in great condition. and the hand crank winch is the highlight of this restoration and modification. The winch is painted silver and is a Beebe Brothers all-steel two-ton hand winch manufactured in Seattle. The bed has been relined with durable wood.

The exterior paint is the correct Seacrest Green and has benefitted from a quality repaint. The truck's tires measure T 236 7. 00-15 LT. and the wheels have period-correct Chevy hubcaps to drive home the nostalgic feeling.

The interior has been restored and looks amazing. The seats are coffee-colored vinyl perfectly matching a cup of coffee on the way to a work day in this truck. and the gauges are correct.

This truck can do work. but it can also make a great advertising piece for a construction company looking to stand out from the competition! The tow truck boom and winch are easily removable if you so choose. VIN is AHGA 866947. and mileage reads 130 which is understood to be total mileage since the restoration. It is being sold on a clear Texas title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
