1953 Jeep M38A1. for sale is a genuine American built Jeep ex US army. the Jeep is believed to have been released from the military in the late 1980's and has been in private ownership since. The chassis  is straight and sound with no signs of repair. bodily the jeep is very solid. the paint is old and stained here and there so depending on opinion it would benefit from a repaint or it could be described as having a great used look?  The seat canvas covers are also aged. the Jeep has a hood and side screens the perspex rear window in the hood has a tear. The Jeep drives very well and brakes / gearbox and steering are all work well and it feels nice. however the engine is a bit "fluffy" on pick up and would probably benefit from the carburetor being stripped/ cleaned and the ignition system being gone through. The tyres have some cracking in the side walls so replacements would be a good idea.  So in general a super Jeep that would be ideal for someone who doesn't mind doing some "tinkering"/ light renovation work and it certainly is priced accordingly. The Jeep has a V5c and is currently taxed [historic vehicle so free of charge]  This jeep is also MOT exempt but must obviously be in roadworthy condition prior to use on public roads.
