Here we have for sale my Mercedes r 107 500 sl. have owned the car for the last 5 years during which I have covered about 5 thousand miles. She is in very good condition inside and out and the price reflects this she is not concours but is a very attractive useable classic Mercedes. The interior is in very good condition. with just a slight hole in the handbrake cover a common fault. The service file is massive and reads like a novel.
The car has recently had £5000 of remedial work carried out at the renowned SL shop. the experts in all things SL.
The remit I gave them was if it needs doing or may need doing in the short or long term do it. I wanted the car to last another 30 years the work included the following:

removed and rectified any corrosion and made as new.

wax oil complete underneath of car.

new windscreen fitted.

new radiator fitted.

new brake calipers fitted.

new battery.

complete steering overhaul to as new condition.

replace distributer cap. rotor arm and ignition lead.

engine checked for faults rocker cover gaskets replaced.

exhaust system checked and repaired where required.

tracking checked and rectified.

The car really does drive very well and is taxed and mot d ready to drive away. the soft top is as new with a liner fitted to hide the bars. and the car comes with a hard top stand. wind deflector. and a car cover.

The only issue on the paintwork is a slight bubbling of the paint in one area. and a slight bubbling of the chrome bumper at the left rear both easily remedied and as I have stated the price reflects this small amount of work required which is just cosmetic and can be done on a as and when basis.

To summarise this is a really good car that drives first class and will just go on and on with the work that has been done. somebody will grab an absolute bargain. There is a genuine reason for sale.
