I have a really good 1974 Jensen Interceptor series 3 that I am offering for sale. This car is a perfect candidate for body on or full body off restoration. It has low miles and the body shows the story. The undercarriage still looks good with the original undercoating. I found this car locally and have done some work on it to get it running. I drained the tank and there was no debris or corrosion and cleaned the fuel lines. Had to put a new fuel pump on to get the fuel moving and blow out the pick up. The carburetor was not set correctly so I set the idle and it runs sustainably now and starts up. We had to bleed the brakes and flush out the old fluid and now the brakes work well. Could use more flushing to make sure the old fluid is out and put all dot 5 fluid in. The brake lines look really good all the way around. I think they are stainless steel and might have been replaced but they all really look in good shape. I have not found any brake leaks in 2 weeks or so. The power steering seemed to have an old leak but I put Lucas stop leak in and it came back to life. but could probably use some attention for a later repair. Note: it was out of power steering fluid but I put the Lucas stop leak in and there has been no leaks so far in a few days. I changed the oil and the motor runs super smooth and sounds really tight. There is no noise from the motor at all it really runs great. I have only drove this in the alley so far to turn it around so I am not sure about the transmission all the way but it does go into gear and works. The parking brake works. This car looks worse in the pictures than it is in person mostly. The body work is not too bad and the interior is in pretty good condition. The front end is taken apart right now but the car should be painted before it gets reassembled. There is some rust on the back of the front fender wheel wells as well as the rear. One floor board under the passenger side should be replaced. Then there is some surface rust low on the rear quarter panels. There is some body work done to the bottom of the body and rust underneath at the joint but it looks worse than it is. Besides those spots the rest of the chassis and body look really good and solid! It needs some work done on the interior but not too bad. It needs a radio. possible window motors or switches and the upholstery padding is not too good but could last a while. I am not totally sure yet.
I really don't want to sell this car because I really like it a lot but I thought I would put it out there as available for the right price. I can really see how owners of these cars absolutely fall in love with them. It is truly a great unique car with a lot of character and quality work! I think if you are looking for one of these you probably know the great history and details but if not just do a bit of reading about them and their history. It is a really rare car especially the later years and with the 440 motor. It is left hand drive and those are in lower numbers than the European ones. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. I am in process of  doing a bit more work on this and testing the drive train and suspension components. The carb does need some tuning or maybe a rebuild since it pops and fires a bit under initial driving load. I think it can be cleaned and tuned though. The setting were not right on it when I got it. There is a clear title. I am going to update this listing with the vin# and more details. pictures. and a video link to see it running. I am pretty sure it is numbers matching but I need to verify that. Also. I think the steering rack has been rebuilt since it has cleaned cast iron and new boots but not for sure. I just wanted to put it out there for now. Thanks for looking!
