These don't come up often like this. 1983 Mk 1 Gti. Mars Red.Last owner owned this for nearly 11 years and clearly loved it. As you can see it's in incredible condition. It was subject to an extensive repaint, resto just over 5 years ago. And the the paint is beautiful. Panel gaps are lovely, the car is so straight. The window seals, trim, lights, plastics are all new. Rear arches are mint, as are the fronts and underneath it's super super solid. The boot floor is quite frankly unbelievable and the engine bay is the same. It's a very straight car. Engine has been modified. I have receipts for a stage 3 head, Kent cams. The engine was rebuilt at the same time. It has an Audi throttle body conversion, quite common back in the day. 4 branch manifold and stainless exhaust. It's goes really well. Pulls lovely and the gearbox is smooth and positive. Its sounds incredible and has that lovely old school cammed character. It's done 163 k, but that's a bit irrelevant. The interior is stock, a little 00's with that OMP wheel and those white dials. But easily rectified if not to your taste. Headliner is new. Those door cards have your standard speaker holes. It drives so well. I have been using it quite a bit, been faultless. Brakes don't feel stock, I haven't had a chance to have a proper look at the setup, they are sharp and not very Mk 1 like

Wheels are reps, but wearing Nexen tyres. It's clearly been well looked after. This is a very nice car. Perfect base to put your stamp on.
