THIS is my 1937 Morris 14 Series II, readily identifiable by its chrome radiator grille. She is two-tone blue and black and in super condition for an 84-year-old 6-cylinder classic. Solid, pretty and with a delightfully period art-deco style interior, she is a rare bird indeed these days. This model was a flagship vehicle for Morris. Her interior is just lovely with original blue leather and that "gramaphone" style dashboard arrangement. This model - the chrome radiator was quickly replaced by a painted cowl - was one of Leonard Lord's ‘Specialisation-Built' models. This side-valve 14/6 Series II was only in production for 13 months before it was replaced by the overhead valve Series III. It is believed that only a mere six or so such models have survived.First registered as BDA 275 in Wolverhampton in September 1937, this Morris comes with a buff logbook showing that it was in Shrewsbury by 1943 where it had three owners until 1982. It then changed hands again in 2007. Recently the old girl has been recommissioned following a few years of inactivity, including fitting a new clutch, new fuel pump and a new battery.A truly rare opportunity to acquire a pre-war motor car with such genuine road presence.I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Martin (07595 020282).Please remember that these classic cars are the equivalent of motoring antiques and cannot, under any circumstances, be compared to your new BMW. Go around them with a fine toothcomb and you will find faults. They all have them unless they are presented as concours! They all need ongoing love and care. They tend to leak oil in varying degrees. They may break down, play up or even present you with a mystery that takes some solving. But that is all part and parcel of classic car ownership. They are there to be loved and cherished like a family pet. They are our motoring heritage and should be treated as such. This old girl for example is now 84-years-old.
