1930 Singer Junior
In good working order ready to be used and enjoyed on
the road. Recently refurbished. Original 4 cylinder 858 cc
OHC with 3 speed crash gearbox.
Included in this sale is an original ‘Book of the singer
junior', lots of copies of the singer owners clubs
magazines and photos of restoration carried out over the
years.
This car is a piece of local history, built at Coventry 91
years ago. Features 6 volt electrics, gravity fed fuel
system, thermosiphon cooling system, 4 wheel rod
brakes. RWD. Wooden bodied with ladder chassis.
Suicide doors. Retains many original features and always
admired at local car shows.
The wheels have been recently re-spoked, the engine
has been rebuilt by previous owner. MOT & tax exempt
being a historic vehicle and very cheap to insurance.
Hand crank or electric start.
There is an active Singer owners car club that is very
helpful in sourcing parts and offering advice to keep these
fantastic cars on the road. There is information on their
website about the history of these vehicles that is well
worth a read.
