1966 mercury comet voyager station wagon one registered keeper from new

for sale is my mercury comet voyager one of only 1300 made with 289 v8 and auto transmission . I have owned this car for 23 years over which time it has undergone a major restoration.Found in a barn in 1997 it was purchased new by a mr Harold heyes who bought the car whilst working for honeywell computers at Houston he worked on the moon landings for NASA in 1969.In 1971 he returned to England with the Mercury it was used until 1983 when it was parked up needing brake linings. Since 1997 the car has had a comprehensive restoration. the body was bare metalled and all repairs undertaken every aspect of the car has been inspected replaced / refurbished. This car has moved with me 13 times over 23 years and i have driven it less than a mile .The interior is in outstanding condition with original seats headlining and door cards, it has had a new carpet. the car has 2 bench seats and an extra a folding seat for children in the rear, with six seat belts in total,the seats fold down to make a huge loading area. Original hubcaps all excellent all trim present and correct. original radio.mot and tax exempt.tyres are good.this car was built with a magic tailgate that opens both ways.It has an electric tailgate window. over the years this car has has thousands of pounds spent on it and thousands of hours of restoration. runs and drives as it should and is quite responsive.
