This is rare 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible.
Only 2850 were produced in 1966.
This car has had all rust removed. metal treated and reworked. with new paint in original Cardinal Red.
It has a new white convertible top. The convertible is a power-convertible system.
The car features a brand new red-on-red interior.
It has new carpet. new seat covers. new front and rear door panels. crafted from the original design.
The engine is a 2 barrel 289. V 8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission.
The engine has new fuel lines and a newly rebuilt carburetor.
The car features a new glass pack exhaust system. The car has new brakes. and new tires with original hubcaps.
The gas tank as been removed and treated and coated to remove all corrosion.
All new rubber seals around the convertible top. doors. and trunk.
Also has new battery and radiator hoses.
Included: 1966 Shop Manual. black convertible top cover. 4 slotted mag wheels in the trunk. the original carburetor. the second carburetor. extra hub cap (with a few small dents).
The car may be seen at Savants Collision in Nederland Texas.
