Hi, for sale is my beloved 1989 Mk 2 golf GTI, this car has had everything it's ever needed, currently covered 171,000 miles, and in my 5 years of owner ship has always been garaged. Unfortunately when I moved house last year I sadly lost a lot of history that car with the car when I bought it. Last year I restored the engine bay as that was the only part of the car that look tired, below is a list of parts/work that had been done. Engine removed Engine bay painted Engine and gearbox painted Bonnet painted Bumper painted Rocker cover powder coated All gear levers powder coated Alloy wheels powder coated in metallic silver Subframe powder coated All 4 Jacking points replaced (3 had been crushed by a jack by the previous owner, so all were replaced)Gearbox rebuilt High lift cam fitted by previous owner. Replaced parts:Ignition coil Distributor, cap and leadsalternator starter motor oil coolerhall sender Battery Clutch Crankshaft oil seal Coolant temp sensor Radiator Fan Coolant hoses Genuine green hose clips Fuel lines Fuel pumps Vacuum pipes All gear bushes Genuine parts were fitted where possible. The car is in mint condition as you can see from the above photos, genuine reason for sale. The headliner unfortunately suffered from the dreaded sagging a few months ago, and currently still needs replaced, I am willing to do this if the right price has been met but would prefer to sell the car as it is. This car turns heads everywhere it goes, and is a classic that's only ever going to appreciate in value MOT due august 2022. Please phone/text 3 for any other information you require.
