1949 Frazer Manhattan 4 Door Sedan - Kaiser/Frazer Corp. for sale
Current customer rating:
1949 Frazer Manhattan 4 Door Sedan!
Dare to be different? I am offering for sale my 1949 Frazer Manhattan Sedan. a rare car even in 1949! The Frazer Manhattan was the "top of the line" model for the Kaiser/Frazer Corporation. This is a "Turn Key. "Drive It Away" car.
STRONG POINTS!
1. Strong Running. original Continental 6 cylinder engine - no smoke or engine noises recent Tune-up!
2. Mileage of 64. 29 appears to be correct. This car had been in storage for almost 40 years before being refurbished.
3. New Radial. Wide Whitewall tires New Shocks!
4. Brakes completely rebuilt New fuel pump!
5. Original 6 volt system works well
6. This car has what I believe is the most beautiful dash of any car of this era!
7. Seats. headliner. and door panels tastefully redone. (See photos)
8. 3 Speed Manual Transmission with working overdrive performs fine
9. Strong clutch
10. Working lights . turn signals . brake lights . wipers . and heater
11. Clear Pennsylvania title
12. Long term garage storage has preserved the car well
13. Original paint is "needy" in places but still presents fairly well (See photos)
14. Fog lights and factory sun visor !!!
15. I drive the Frazer several times a month in nice weather. I have driven this car on 100-150 mile jaunts without any problems. Please remember. however. that the car is 64 years old!
WEAK POINTS!
1. Some repairable rust issues - relatively minor - see photos (where front fenders meet the front doors)
2. Paint has some scuff marks and scratches (this is the original paint --- 64 years old!)
3. Yes. that is a REAL bullet hole in the trunk area (See photo). It appears that the Frazer received a gunshot at some point in its career.
