My 1972 imp super

This car is in amazing condition, never welded and requires no welding, all original panels, bodywork is lovely and straight, with really good original panel gaps ,doors shut nice and flush,

The car is showing 23996 miles, and I've every reason to believe this is genuine, you can just tell it is,  the guy I bought it from last year unfortunately was suffering from dementia and had lost any history , I have tried to contact him a couple of times since but to no avail,  so unfortunately just have to take the car for what it is,  but I would stick my neck on the line and say the mileage was genuine.

The car has all the original stickers from new like how to use the choke and how to set off in first gear,  and the original Ray Powell dealer sticker in the rear window,

All the rubber seals are original, even the front bonnet seal

It comes with a brand new set of 6x13 revolites and 175 60 13 yokohama a539 tyres, wheels and tyres haven't done a mile,

Also comes with the original wheels which still have a couple of crossplys on the rear and the spare is crossply.

The car is standard other than the guy I bought it from stuck a set of avo shocks with monty carlo springs all round,  and Braided hoses

Since I've owned it I've fitted a new water pump,  thermostat and housing,  fuel line, rear brakes,  radiator pipes ,

I spent hours chipping off all the underseal under the arches and floor and painted it in 108 polar white,  there is literally no rot anywhere

Engine wise it sounds lovely,  no nasty noises but it doesn't want to seem to tick over very well,  I'm suspecting the solex carb wants a bit of a tune up

Interior is very good,  when I bought it the previous owner had made and fitted a grey coloured carpet as he said he didn't like the colour of the original (turquoise same as seats) which is a shame,  so I since have fitted a tailored black carpet,  the seats are as new with no wear or tears, really good original headlining,

The only thing I can really knock this car on is the bottom half under the stripe at some point has been resprayed, I can see no reason as to why,  perhaps a scrape or something,  there's certainly been no repairs that I can see,  and unfortunately the shade is ever so slightly out, you can only really tell on a dull day,  but on a nice sunny day its hard to spot, the top half of the car I would say is all original paint.

Also there is a slight oil weep from the  rocker cover gasket and fuel pump gasket

The car has been off the road since 2013 and I've only ever driven it around the yard at work so really I wouldn't suggest going far in it to start with until its has been gently brought back to road use again

There can't be many unrestored imps like this around anymore,  that are this solid , I'm only selling it as having a clear out of cars as I'm just not using them.
