Jowett Javelin 1952

1952 Jowett Javelin in very. ery good condition showing 1793 miles. No rust. o discolouration. o bubbles or blisters on the paint and very good chrome all around. According to old Mots that came with the car it had done 49248 miles by November 1998 when it was taken off the road for an engine overhaul. The next MoT was in 2001 showing only 35 miles and on it goes untill now so it has done 1768 miles in 12 years. The last MoT and while the car was/is in my possesion expired in July 2011. And that is the reason I am selling. It just doesn't get the use it deserves. I bought it in 2009 to pair it with a Jupiter I had at that time. Sadly the Jupiter and I parted company and the Javelin stayed covered up in my garage to be started and driven around the parking lot for maintenance purposes.

What more can I say? The car starts easily on choke and once warmed up ticks over very nicely if a tad high. Tax exempt and now MoT exempt all one needs to do is insure it on the cheap and go out and enjoy. Allthough not concourse. he seats in places show their age. ts a real head turner. I do not need to tell you that they rarely come up for sale and that they were an exceptional car in their time. After all I am not a Jowett historian.

As you can see from the photos it comes complete with its own tool box. ack and wheel brace you need the latter to get the spare out. Four new hubcaps go with it. pares list. wners original instruction manual and workshop manual as well as sundry receipts for spares and work done.
