This is an awesome camper van and I hate to sell it but I need to free up some storage space. It's a fantastic example of an original. classic Volkswagen camper and it's becoming very hard to find one in this condition that hasn't been completely restored. Their are a few blemishes here and there but they give it character. The odometer shows 80k miles and although I don't have any documentation to support it. I believe it's genuine. The bus is just too nice to 180k. The bus runs and drive great and doesn't have any clucks or rattles that you would associate with an old car. It has the original 1800 cc engine. 4 speed manual transmission and both work great. The interior is in very good shape as well and you have to love that funky '70's plaid upholstery. I will do my best to describe my bus accurately and honestly for you.
The bus was built on Wednesday. April 3rd. 1974 and painted L90D Pastel White It still wears almost all of it's original paint and I don't think it's ever been in an accident. It still shines like a new car. There nose has typical rock chips and the paint is worn under the spare tire. There is small dent on the right front door by the reflector but that's about the worst of it. It looks like the right rear corner was repainted at some point in the past as well and there are two small holes drilled in each rear quarter panel. possibly for some kind of door guard. There is also a tiny dent in the tailgate and some scuff marks on the sliding door.  I had the fiberglass top repainted when I bought it because the gel coat was staring to fail.  I've looked it over from top to bottom and the only real rust that I've found is a couple small holes under the battery. which is pretty typical and would be an easy fix.
The interior is in great shape and nearly all original as well. It has green door cards. green carpet and of course. that crazy blue and green plaid seat upholstery. I had the front seat padding replaced because it was in sad shape but everything else is as new. There is a hole about the size of a quarter in the rear seat bottom. It has a period aftermarket am/fm stereo which works well. The sink. icebox and dining table are all there. the pop top works smoothly and the canvas is in pretty good shape. the zipper on the front window needs to be re-sewed but other than that it's ready for some camping!
It still has the original 1800cc  dual carb type four engine. which is completely stock. It looks like the muffler has been replaced sometime in the past. It recently had an oil change. tune up. valve adjustment and new engine compartment seal put in. it runs like a champ and is ready for some road trips. The tires have plenty of tread and the brakes work well too. It comes with four original VW keys and two keys for the locking gas cap as well as the owners manual.
This is a beautiful classic Westaflia camper and it's to take it's next owner on some great adventures. if you have any questions. please don't hesitate to ask. you will have to figure out the shipping but I will be happy to assist with transport in the Denver area. Thanks for looking!
