1980 International Harvester Scout Terra for sale
Current customer rating:
1980 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT TERRA Convertible Pick-up. 345 V 8 w/ 4 Speed Manual Trans
Very original and rust free truck. One repaint just over a decade ago in the original color of Concord
Blue (paint code 6787). Bone dry underside (please request photos) and accident free body.
This Scout was sold new in 1979 at Sundown Subaru/International of Eugene. Oregon. per original
build sheet. which is shown in last photo. and spent most of it's life in Oregon.
We originally sourced this truck back in 2008 from the southern United States and sold to a local
collector at Interstate Motor Trucks of Minnesota. one of the largest International Harvester dealers
in the state. for his personal collection. He kept the vehicle inside his facility with other collector
grade International Scouts. We just received the truck back in our facility recently and it's being
offered again for sale. Mechanically in excellent running condition. both the engine and
transmission. which shifts very crisp and tight. and features a newly installed clutch. Motor and
transmission are dry with no leaks or drips. All electronics are fully operational except for a
non-functioning water temperature gauge. The odometer reads 43. 22 miles. All glass/windows
are in excellent condition with no chips or scratches in either the windshield or the side windows.
The interior is original with a nearly perfect passenger seat and a small tear in drivers seat.
(shown in photo #15). Dash is in excellent condition with no cracks. sun damage or distortion.
The decade+ old paint job still shows amazingly well with just a few chips here and there.
The rear passenger quarter panel has a horizontal scratch and one chip in the paint. and is
visible in photo #14. and would be an easy fix to repair.
Overall a very clean. great running Scout. Starts easily. Drives done the road fantastically with
excellent brakes and steering. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Buy with confidence. as this is the kind of product that we specialize in.
