Hello. I am selling my 1982 Toyota SR5 4x4. This is one really cool truck! It is the most sought after year of the Toyotas. and are pretty rare to come by. This truck has been restored. and looks very cool. It is the 4x4 short bed. which are the rarest ones to find.

The motor is the original I-4. and I am not sure if or when it was rebuilt. These motors last forever. so they are really hard to gauge! This one runs well after it warms up. and has plenty of power! These motors are typically noisy. but this one is pretty quiet. The oil pump is slow when first started. but kicks in after about 15 seconds. This is nothing out of the ordinary. The only leak is at the front of the oil pan. and it is very minor. The 5 speed transmission shifts just as it should. and the clutch feels good as well. The 4x4 engages just fine as well. The front driveshaft is installed. but needs to be extended to accomodate the lift if you are going to use the 4x4. The truck has 5. 29 gears installed . so the motor turns the tires over without hesitation or strain.

Interior is in good shape. I would say that the interior restoration was done in the mid 1990s. It is not flawless. but in nice shape for an older restoration! It is very cool looking inside. and comfortable as well. No leaks in the cab!! The weatherstripping and seals are in great condition! Everything appears to work just as it should! All of the glass is in good condition. Sliding back glass works just as it should too. Carpet is new. Floors are solid with no known rust at all.

The paint on the truck is about 4 months old and looks amazing!!! It is Jet Black with Candy Purple ghost flames! The black has a slight metallic shimmer. and the purple candy is full metallic. The paint is Chromabase. not cheap junk! Truck has been blocked and wet-sanded. so it is about as straight as one of these trucks can get! The raised letters on the tailgate were shaded in candy as well. There is no known rust on the body at all. The bed is very clean and in good condition. The tailgate latches still work just as they should. All of the marker lights and signals have been spray tinted for a custom look.  There may be a few small blemishes such as rock chips. but nothing out of the ordinary or noticeable. The truck looks brand new on the outside!

The lift setup us simple on these trucks. Longer springs and shackles is all it takes. Nothing permanent. The truck can be lowered back to factory height in just a few hours or so. The suspension is stiff as would be expected for a truck with over a foot of lift.  The entire chassis of the truck has been undercoated and painted.  It has dual shocks and custom shock mounts in the front. With a lift this high. those are mostly just for looks! Dual stabilizers up front too! The wheels are the very most sought after Weld Wheels ever produced! They are 15x15 Weld Mountain Crushers. I would like to see you find another set of these anywhere!!! I have been offered thousands of dollars just for the wheels. but I think they make this truck what it is! The tires are 39x18R15 Mickey Thompson Baja belted. The tires will need to be replaced if you plan to drive it on the road. They have sat for a good while. and are dry-rotted on the sides. I believe they are out of round from sitting too. I have driven the truck very few miles on them. They will smooth out some after they warm up. but nothing I would want to ride on for more than 5 minutes. If you plan to drive it home. I would suggest bringing another set of road tires and 6 lug wheels to travel on. I have a brand new Trail Gear Crossover Steering setup and Steering Box relocator for the truck as well. The kit was around $500. and replaces the factory steering with heavy duty components used for big tire applications such as this. The kit is easy to install and greatly adds handling ability and front ride! I just havent had the time to install it. It is difficult to handle or align the vehicle without this installed. The truck has been mostly trailered since the paint was done. but is still very driveable for inspection or off-road use!

All in all this is a really cool One of a Kind truck! You will have the only one like this! This truck has had well over $20k spent on it! It is not a perfect truck. All of these trucks require minor touches and upkeep while you own them. A perfect truck of this style does not exist. This is a fine example of what a good customized one should look like. These trucks in this condition have huge 20k + pricetags on them. I am selling this one with no reserve. You bid higher that the others. you own this truck! I have listed everything that I know. but if you have any other questions feel free to call / text me at 615-578-1000. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. and will entertain any offer.  I have the clear TN title in hand. Thanks and Good Luck!!! Justin
