Toyota : Land Cruiser FJ45 CREW CAB for sale

This unique Cruiser is famous within the Land Cruiser community. It is one of four built by the leading Land Cruiser specialty shop. TLC. Built in 2000. TLC started with a beat up 196? FJ45. and then imported all new factory Toyota Bandeirante body parts (glass. trim. body tub. doors. roof. hood. fenders. bed and tailgate…). New NOS 1979 FJ40 front bib and aprons were used.

 

The US spec and Brazilian body parts were united on the modified US market FJ45 chassis. and a new Vortec 6. 0 with 4L80E automatic transmission. new NOS 19 spline late model Cruiser transfer case. New Brazilian axles (disc front. drum full floater rear) were utilized as well. hung on new FJ45 Old Man Emu suspension. Power steering is run from a IDIDIT GM style tilt column to the Brazilian power steering box. Lokar transmission shifter. Gauges are custom VDO with indicator lights and full gauge displays. Hand built quality wiring harness.

 

Seats are later model power BMW (front) and Brazilian rear bench. Three point aftermarket seat belts (4) and lap rear center belt. Seats were reupholstered in a rare carbon fiber heat-laminated leather (not the cheesy vinyl replica). Carpet is top marine grade dense cut pile. Custom door interior panels were built to match the seating.

 

Front bumper is an ICON hand made bull bar. rear is a modified Kaymar unit from Australia. Fuel tank is also Australian. a Long Ranger.

 

Bed is lined in Line-X.

 

These trucks are impossibly rare. and will never be duplicated because Toyota closed the plant in Brazil. and destroyed the tooling! Also. the Brazilian version of this body style is not legal for import to the US. and was made in very low numbers anyway for the Brazilian military and power companies.
