1987 Bombardier VW Iltis Canadian Military Vehicle
VOLKSWAGEN Type 183
Currently NOT running.
Have replaced the Ignition control. Coil. Distributor and installed new batteries.
Fuel pump fires up and the engine turns over - solid starter.
Just need to run all the wires and find the fault.
But my wife has run out of patience and must sell.
Original CDN Armed Forces Green Color.
Top is in good shape(no rot or holes) and comes with 5 doors.
Body is solid - but has some rust holes underneath near rear wells and front body mounts. Frame is solid. Tires are in amazing shape.

The Iltis has an AUDI 4 speed (Plus G Gear) 4 x 4 manual transmission.
1. 8 L VW Gasoline engine with many VW and VW Thing compatible parts.
I found this Iltis in Ontario and was in Dry storage since it was sold off from the Canadian Military in 1996.
I brought the Iltis down to Connecticut myself and it has cleared US Customs. EPA. FULLY REGISTERED for road use in Connecticut and insured.
Very unique vehicle.
This is my spare.
I am selling it for what I paid for it. I paid $4000 for it in 2016. It cost me over $600 to trailer it home.
I have spent over $750 on parts and new batteries since I have owned it.
It has been stored indoors since I bought it.
I'm not trying to make any money. just trying to find it a good home.

Vehicle is in "as is". pre-restored condition.
Buyer is solely responsible for pick up and delivery.
