For sale in our Dallas showroom is a beautiful 1949 Ford F 1 custom pickup. Front to back top to bottom this truck is customized. It began as a 3 year project that had a Harley Davidson theme in mind using HD logos and designs. The colors used for the paint are dark and light candy root beer and was applied by James Dixon of Wise County Paint and Body. The wheels are custom ordered from “Wheel Smith” in Corona CA. they are aluminum pieces that are very nice and match the build just right. The steel was kept as original because chopping tops and shaving door handles would reduce the usefulness of the truck. The drivetrain is a Chevrolet 350 CID V 8 with a 700 R 4 4 speed automatic transmission. and a GM rear end. The engine was built in 2009 and has about 6. 00 miles on it. The transmission was rebuilt in 2017 by Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford. TX. Some of the custom equipment is the custom built fuel tank that is mounted under the rear of the bed. The radiator and electric fan assembly were custom made as well for proper cooling. A Vintage AC unit keeps the passengers comfortable regardless of the outside temperatures. The truck has the right kind of custom touches that are not over the top. There is one feature that stands way out that you can’t miss. This one comes with a custom matching trailer. Custom built for the show circuit is a 4 X 6 Circle S Star enclosed trailer. It was painted to match exactly as the truck and is perfect for food and equipment for long haul shows for a weekend away.
