1971 Duster 340 Survivor Original Paint Matching Numbers With Paperwork for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 501 votes

Up for auction is my un-restored. original paint survivor 1971 Duster 340. It was built in California and was in the possession of the original owner there for twenty years.

It is numbers matching with all paperwork. It has the fender tag. two original broadcast sheets. the window sticker. the sales documents. the passing information and most of the registrations from new. It has a bunch of cool options. Hood pins. Power steering. Power disc brakes. High impact paint (GY3 Curious Yellow). Tinted windshield. Remote mirror. Undercoating. Rear deck spoiler. Tuff wheel and it is coded for and should have body side moldings. I have purchased four of these moldings NOS and I also have a line on the other two. They are included in the sale.

Also included are two full sets of wheels and tires. The original rallye wheels with reproduction Good Year Polyglas GT tires and a second set of rallyes with Good Year Eagle ST radials for driving. The original spare is still in the trunk. The hood blackout has been added. I do not know for sure when this was done but it was on there when I first bought the car back in 1993. I like the way it looks and have no problem leaving it that way. The right side mirror and factory tachometer were also on the car at this time. The front bumper is a re-chrome one from Tri Cities that I put on five years ago. The original had a dent in it and I looked for years for an NOS one to match the condition of the car but everything that I found had the jack slots in it. The front stone shield has had a spot blended in with paint. It looks like it was done when the car was new. I have a photo of this but it does not show up well.

All of the tune up and service items under the hood have been changed. the belts. hoses and tune up items etc… The Thermo quad is a 1972 one. I do not have paperwork to support this but I believe it was replaced under warranty. I do have a 1971 four speed Thermo quad available but the date is wrong. I bought it to use as a trade for an automatic one if found. The build date of this car is making it hard to find a correctly dated 1971 only carb. The SPD is August 31/Sept 1. It is one of the first 340 A Bodies to roll out of the L. A. assembly plant. The exhaust is original except for one muffler; we changed this back in the 1990's. We also added a Mopar Performance electronic ignition kit.

This is a very desirable 340 A Body. If you are into 340 Dusters you know that an original paint Survivor 71 car in high impact color with paperwork is the top of the food chain. Yes I am fully aware that this car is not a four speed. I have been told a thousand times that it would be more valuable that way. I prefer an automatic. I wish it had a floor shift but even back in the 1990's it was hard to find a premium example of a car like this.

I have no interest in any trades. I am looking to downsize.
