1979 VOLKSWAGEN DEVON CAMPERVAN T2 for sale

For sale. our much loved and beautiful camper van.  A real head turner. she starts first time. every time. even in the cold.  We've spent the last year or so getting her up to scratch with a new starter motor. new oil seals. rocker cover gasket seals and a new battery. new coil.  The underside of the van has been professionally sealed and we've always taken care to wash the salt from underneath.  The poptop is leak free and the hammocks are included so with the rock and roller bed it would comfortably sleep a small family.  The fridge is in good working order and the roof rack is great for extra luggage which leaves plenty of room in the back of the van for passengers.
Just passed its MOT with some minor work to tighten the steering and the front left suspension. Amazingly she passed the previous years MOT with nothing needed at all.  
Relisting with a lower reserve as we've just had a baby and need something a little more practical.   
This is an old van so as you'd expect there are some small rust patches on the bodywork. some welding. and the original heating system doesn't work. The clock on the dash is missing. and there is a spring in the drivers seat that tore a hole in my suit trousers (on way to wedding!) We now use a cushion (included in the sale. )  The petrol gauge doesn't work. but we just make a note of the mileage and fill up accordingly.
