a superb looking 1985 BMW 635 CSi (E24) with full history, MOT, and tax

Motodrome are pleased to offer another fine example of one of our favourite 1980's sports coupes – a BMW 635 CSi Automatic. finished in Alpine White with blue full leather sports trim.

Fitted with switchable automatic transmission. abs. full leather. BMW sports seats. cruise control (still working!) electric sunroof/windows/mirrors. central locking. trip computer. HLWW. front fogs. alloys. rear spoiler. ear headrests. & period stereo with electric aerial.

Also fitted with a matching set of 4 correct-type Dunlop SP 230/55 zr 390 metric tyres.

Previously supplied by us. it seems to have been in one family from new until 2006. and comes with superb history. including the original service book with 29 service stamps in it . and a big file of invoices and old MOT's. I did over 5000 trouble-free miles in it in 2012-13.

It's recently undergone a rear suspension and rear arch/sill rebuild using all new metal. (photos available). been fitted with a new exhaust. and was serviced last summer less than 1000 miles ago.

It's covered just under 130000 miles. although the speedo was changed in 2011 following failure for a good used one that read 61000 and now shows 69500

Bodywork and interior wise it looks really superb. and it drives beautifully too. .

Comes with MOT to December 2014 (no advisories) and road tax to end October 2014 too.

It also comes with a dateless number plate. and 6 m warranty on sale.

Further detail:

The body and paintwork on this one look exceptionally good. with perfect front wing lower front corners and rear arches. All I can find to criticise is a slight kink in the aluminium trim above the NS door. a small rust bubble on the OS A-post (only visible with the door open). and a very tiny pimple on top of the OSF wing.

Interior – nicely 'lived in and original looking' rather than retrimmed etc (except the upper outer bolster on the drivers seat. which has been replaced) . but rather lovely all round. with nice dash. carpets etc. All I can criticise is the usual E 24 problem of the heater blower fan only working on max speed. Starts on the button and performed utterly superbly on test - doesn't display any signs of misfiring. hesitancy or overheating etc. just goes along the road very well indeed.

Nice smooth gearbox etc. Nothing to criticise - probably one of nicest-driving E 24's available (the correct metric tyres help) . .
