Situation: I have three Volkswagens and 2 babies! Far too much on my plate so the '73 pickup needs to go. The '57 and 2013 get to stay!
NOTE: I have updated the photos to include a shot of the rust free undercarriage.
This '73 VW Kombi Pickup (Pritschewagen) is approximately 90% complete. I purchased it a couple of years ago to use as a daily driver. As you can see in the pictures. it is very tidy. Most of the remaining work lies with the interior and some minor body touchups including removing dents from the rear bumper and attaching the tow bar.
I am very close to taking this over the vehicle inspection pits but I am realistic. I don't have the time to complete tasks to get it fully registered.
Some of the recent additions/benefits of the vehicle include: - new carby - excellent window and door seals - original 2/3. 1/3 seats - straight body - motor has been recently worked on by VW mechanic and runs well (plenty of new parts) - undercarriage looks tidy (although needs a clean) - treasure chest only has surface rust and tidy overall - interior ceiling in great condition - new EMPI exhaust and push rod tubes
This vehicle probably needs a new battery as the currently one requires charging between starts.
