1979 T. Finished in factory original Black with biscuit leather trim.
Extras include air conditioning. full leather. radio cassette. passenger door mirror. steering wheel reach adjustment and front fog lamps. Last owner of 30 years a motor engineer and M. O. T tester by trade (for his local main agent) has meticulously maintained this car since he purchased it back in 1983. We have most previous M. O. Ts (10 carried out by him) and a huge parts history file.
We also have 3 Jaguar Drivers Club concours certificate wins plus several valuation certificates.
A fantastic example of the best looking XJ ever built and its around 5 k cheaper of similar condition cars which are currently on the market. BE QUICK!
This series of XJ are becoming extremely rare in this condition having only been produced between late 73 and early 79.
The magazine Car described this model of XJ with the line "Britain still makes the best car in the world. but its not the Rolls Royce".
In January 1979 this car cost £11. 00 when the price of a new mini was £2200 and the average house price was £15. 00.
The only none standard item is the series 3 steering wheel but we still have the original which goes with the car.
