My car was first registered on 4th July 1984 in Central London. It's a 4. 2 Sovereign finished in Cranberry Red with biscuit hide. a great colour combination. The car has covered only 45757 miles. and judging by its condition inside. outside and underneath. my Jaguar Specialist believes this to be correct.
I have had all five Pepper Pot Alloy Wheels professionally refurbished and five brand new Bridgestone tyres fitted.
My Jaguar Specialist SPM of Weybridge near Brooklands have had the car for several months and gone through the car with a expert eye. Things like suspension bushes. brake calipers. all stuff you can't see but is costly when work is needed. These have all been replaced or refurbished.
They have re commissioned the car with re built brake calipers. fuel tanks. xhaust. rakes. new headlining. a massive list which you are welcome to see and check. but the total invoice came to £4500
My car drives very well. but there are things still to do such as air con not working. nd passenger side rear electric window. which may just be a switch or bad contact. The fuel computer display does not work either.
The book pack is present. but sadly one of the previous owners passed away and with him the service history of this car. which has been lost.
However. MOT mileages go back to 2010 when the car had covered 43654 miles. so has only done 2. 00 miles in 6 years. and many other documents such as valuation certificates with dates and mileages help authenticate the mileage as being correct.
For many years the car has been in storage. and has covered very little mileage over the last 20 years. but it is now ready for the road once again for a Jaguar enthusiast to enjoy once more.
Paintwork is very good for a 32 year old car. There are a couple of rust bubbles to the bottom cornors of passenger doors. and at the top of drivers windscreen. No rust at all in the usual rear arches or at the base of the front and rear screens. The rear screen was professionally removed in order to fit the new headlining. and there was no corrosion in the area at all.
I would encourage viewing the car as everyone's description will differ. but I have been honest with the overall condition.
The car passed the MOT last week with one headlamp high beam not working. This was found to be a bad connection. The new MOT expires 21st August 2017.
The original Clarion Jaguar radio cassette FM radio is still fitted as is the electric aerial and all works. HPI Clear.
This is a fast appreciating car. so values can only go up. Whilst not concourse condition the car still turns heads with it's elegant styling. The last of the 'TRUE' Jaguars.
