1965 Pontiac GTO for sale
Current customer rating:
Here is a really nice 1965 GTO. I have owner this car for 15 years and have enjoyed every minute. This GTO has an interesting history. I purchased the car from a friend that pulled it from a barn full of old drag cars. It appears to have always been a Massachusetts car.
The inspection sticker on the window was from 1973.
That leads me to believe that it did not endure many New England winters. I purchased the car as a roller with no engine or Trans.
There was a fuel cell in the trunk & traction bars on the rear end. A real nicely preserved drag car. The car does retain all of its original sheet metal trunk & floors. However. there is patch work on this car in the trunk. floors and lower rear quarters. I finished the restoration in 2002. I replaced the drive train with an M 20 4 spd and a 1974 400 engine that was totally rebuilt PS & P brakes.
The body had some surface and the lower rear quarters did need some rust repair. Someone had done a patch over the floor boards & one patch in the trunk (Not professionally done). The frame is mint & interior got new carpet door panels and headliner (the seats are the original vinyl and are in great shape) basically this is very nice driver that was restored 15 years ago. I have had a lot of fun. but it's time to let it go. I'm sure I'm missing a lot. please call Frank at
