1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

You are bidding on a 1971 Volkswagen Westfalia Type II Weekender Camper Bus. It's Neptune Blue & White. I've owned this bus for less than a year and bought it to do a few summer weekend trips in. I did that and I am now selling it to the highest bidder and will be donating whatever is earned to the local elementary school in my area.

THIS BUS IS NOT PERFECT. It's a pretty nice old bus. but an old bus indeed. This is a great bus for someone who wants to actually use it for what it's for :)

I will do my absolute best to point out any problem areas here. The bus runs & drives well and presents no noticeable issues while driving. To my knowledge this bus lived it's whole life in California until 2016 when I bought it and brought it to the NW. It still wears the original State of California Dept of Housing tag fastened on the passenger side by the sliding door.

I am happy to help set up recommend a transporter for shipping within the continental USA. but the cost of shipping & coordination is the responsibility of the buyer.

Since I've owned it. I've had it mechanically inspected and spent money on the following repairs/maintenance:

- Oil & Fluids Change (Sept 2016)
- New Front Brakes (Rotors. Pads. Calipers. Bearings & Seals) (Sept 2016)
- New Rear Wheel Cylinders & Shoes (Sept 2016)
- New Brake Hoses Front & Rear (Sept 2016)
- New Steering Shaft (Sept 2016)
- New Drive Axel Seals (Sept 2016)
- New Fuel Level Sender (Sept 2016)
- Brand New Set of 4 Tires (Correct tire for VW Bus: Hankook RA08) (Nov 2016)
- Brand New Interior Carpet (Jan 2017)

Issues I've noticed on it:

- Paint scrape on the right side of the rear bumper (pictured)
- Passenger door interior pull strap is broke (pictured)
- Paint is faded near the gas fill (It looks to me like a previous owner spilled some fuel and did a bad job of clean-up).
- Minor paint scrape on the front grill (pictured)
- Passenger door lock is a bit sticky. works. but could be improved.
- Sun Visors are worn.
- Heat/Defrost sliders are missing the levers.

Misc:

- The bus comes with a nice roof-rack.
- The speedometer & fuel gauge both work properly.
- The parking brake works properly.
- The headlights & tail-lights work properly.
- Blinkers and brake lights work properly.
- Windshield wipers work properly.
- All of the interior cabinets door work properly.
- Bus comes with the interior matching bench stool. table & curtains.

4. If winning bidder does not contact me within 24 hours and doesn't submit deposit within one day or 24 hours of auction close. vehicle may be available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. 7. The vehicle is being sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. I can assist you in getting the vehicle to the transport truck driver of your choice. I assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

The odometer reads approx 69. 00 miles. but I doubt that's accurate. If I had to guess. it rolled over or was replaced at some point.
