MGA COUPE. 1957

Owned by me since 2001. I have restored and upgraded the car so as to keep up with modern traffic with ease without compromising on looks. This MG handles superbly. is always garaged and well looked after with all invoices available on file. T he time has come however to move onto another vintage project. and I reluctantly have to part with this car. I will be very sad to see it go as it always turns heads. delivers a smile and much conversation.

All vinyl roundels and names on the front wings are removable.

T he car can be viewed at any time in Chichester. West Sussex by contacting me. but the car is listed elsewhere. and will be removed if sold.

Engine

1860 cc Fast Road MGB 5 bearing unit fitted 2005

Peter Burgess Stage 2 cylinder head. Piper BP 270 camshaft

Fully balanced and lightened. including flywheel.

Carburettor

45-DCOE Weber – set up and rolling road tuning by Peter Baldwin. Herts. and maintained by CCK Historic. E Sussex.

Gearbox

5-speed Type 9 (Ford) conversion. with quick-shift lever.

Exhaust

3-Branch LCB manifold. into single pipe. with sports extractor twin silencer.

Brakes

Disc brake conversion (MGB) at the front with EBC “Greenstuff” pads. Goodridge braided hoses all round. standard drums at rear.

Suspension

Up-rated lever arm front suspension

Koni shock absorbers at the rear

Fast Road “yellow” polyurethane bushes fitted all round.

Wheels

5 new 72 spoke competition wheels with Firestone 165/15 tyres.

Electrics

New modified loom. Racing 12 v dry cell battery

Period Lucas spot / driving lamps. reverse light. and fog lights fitted. Battery cut off switch and 12 v power feed fitted inside car.

Ignition

Lumenition Optronic electronic ignition with high performance sports distributor and coil. with Distributor Doctor “red”rotor arm.

Cooling

Reconditioned radiator. with fitted Kenlowe thermostatic fan. 13-row oil cooler.

Interior

Re-trimmed interior. new airflex headlining. new door cards. dashboard. parcel shelf in black - piped red

New grey fitted carpet set throughout interior. and boot with spare wheel cover

Richfield long racing seats in red. 5 point harnesses fitted.

Exterior

Re-bodied 2005 by Maidstone Sports Cars

2 door B pillar cappings

Sill repair / replacement

New bootlid – aluminium
