1967 MG MGB for sale
Current customer rating:
1967 MGB.
This is
a very unique
and
one of a kind
, extremely detailed restoration of a 1967 right hand drive MGB with a full fiberglass Sebring body kit. The body had a rotisserie restoration on an already extremely clean 1976 shell (no rust). The engine compartment is highly detailed in every aspect from appearance and function, the power plant is a supercharged and intercooled GM Ecotec engine that was dyno tested at 217 hp at the rear wheels.
A
GM Aisin 5 speed transmission. The engine
and trans
are the same as what would be found in the
very unique
Pontiac Solstice. This is a
modern
day
drive train and a classic MGB body.
The front suspension is custom built with GAZ adjustable coil over shocks,
1”drop
in the front spindles from Fab-Tek, and 1” rear lowering springs, and a custom built 1” front anti-sway bar, all the suspension bushings have been replaced with poly bushings, as a result the car handles like it's on rails and is very stable through the tight
bends..
The cooling systems utilizes an extremely effective aluminum rad. and a 16” elect. fan.
The exhaust system is a beautiful
stainless steel
header with custom pipes which help it breath extremely well. The new wiring harness from Advance Auto Wire is much more superior to an original electrical system and the new gauges are Auto Meter Pro Comp. The gauges are set in real carbon fiber. Seats are recovered Miata seats which add amazing comfort and support. The door panels and dash are new along with the rest of the very individualized interior.
The windshield frame has been chromed, the third wiper was added, and all three wiper arms were moved to suit the driver for the righthand drive set up. While the
under side
of the car was perfectly solid before restoration had begun, during
the restoration
the subframe rails were reinforced to add extra stiffness to the structure
of the
entire car and the entire underside was sprayed with Raptor
bedliner(
see photo) to protect the structure of the car.
The rear diff. is a stock MGB 3.9 tube style diff. With adjustable aluminum custom made tramp bars and
Spax
adjustable tube shocks
and lowering
springs.
Wheels are
Roto 15”x 7” and the like-new tires are 205/50/15" Falken
Azenis
RT 615.
The body is in excellent condition aside from a few very small stress cracks (see photos). I have been driving this
absolutely fun
car on the roads in Western Pennsylvania since 2014, the body is extremely durable, the paint is still show quality and as a result, still usually places in the top 3 at local British car shows.
This special MGB Sebring Roadster was featured in the June 2017 issue of
The North
American Classic MG magazine.
The mileage shown is on the new speedo I installed last year. There are many more miles on the car than shown.
