1972 FORD ESCORT MK1 RS2000 rep

Here we have my very nice tax exempt mk 1 Escort. nly reason i am putting it on Ebay is that i am hankering after another Capri or Cortina. if it doesn't sell i certainly wont be losing any sleep over it and will just forget about another car.

The car itself is finished in Ford Diamond white with genuine one piece RS decals. body work is excellent and very straight with zero rust although there are one or two very minor blemishes as you would expect on a car of this age. Doors. arches lower 1/4 s. A posts. cills are all superb as is all the chrome work. new window. oors and boot seals fitted.

Wont rabbit on too much about the condition of the car. i will just let the pictures do the talking which the majority were taken on the 10 th of July the rest were taken in June.

The interior is in excellent condition with Fiesta RS Turbo Recaro seats re done in black leather inc rear seat with grey piping. really does look the part and is certainly a nice place to be!!! Early recessed 6 dial clocks with alloy facia. mk 3 Capri centre console. new Sony cd head with bluetooth. fitted in glove box with remote control.

new 6 x 9 speakers in mdf boxes covered in black material sitting on rear shelf. no speaker holes in door cards etc. Interior booster aerial also fitted. Springlex steering wheel finishes the interior off nicely.

The mechanicals include a Burton 2. 0 Pinto running twin 45 carbs. this engine has covered around 5500 miles and sounds lovely. no noises or smoke and makes excellent oil pressure. uminition ign. . 0 i cyl head (unleaded) RS alloy mounts and bellhousing. big header radiator. high amp alternator. fuel regulator. electric fuel pump etc. Type 9 5 speed box with quick shift. single piece prop. narrowed axle with a Quaife ATB slipper in a 3. 5 diff.

Leda front struts with 2. 8 discs and callipers. lowered 2. 5 inches all round. single leaf rear springs. Bilstein shocks

Inner wings are excellent and have strut top strengthening plates. inside of boot is also very good.

Brand new 7 x 13 Revolite wheels with new 185/60 tyres

Top tint windscreen

new front chrome 1/4 bumpers

4 new Cibie Super Oscars wired through a relay

Electric fan

Flush bonnet aero catches

Mexico front bib
