VW Caravelle GL Auto 3. 3L

Now with 6 months new tax! 

Yes that's right. this Bus is powered by a 3. 3 litre Flat 6 engine pushing out 230 bhp!

Needless to say this Bus hauls ass!


So it's a 1988 VW Caravelle with Electronic PAS upgrade. and electric windows on the front. The bus has had 3 previous owners. which is quite low for a 25 year old wagen. It's covered 70. 00 miles on the original 2. 1 engine before it was converted to Subaru power.

 

1 years MOT. 6 months Tax to Nov 2013

 

Body:
Fresh repaint in VW StarBlau or Bluestar optional colour.   Its nice clean and straight with excellent seams!!  Black gloss roof.  
The bus has a Westfalia towbar fitted with fully working electric hook up. I have use the Bus to tow my motorbike to great effect.

Smoked Rear lights. front indicators and satin black eyebrow spoiler.

 


Interior:
The Bus has the original plush GL interior with full seat belts. electric windows and PAS. The rear carpets have been replaced with new carpets which are rubber backed. The rear seat folds down flat. which increases the load carrying capacity. CD Stereo. wif 6 disc changer and remote control.


Drive Train:
Yes it goes like a train! Subaru Flat 6 3. 3 litre engine producing 230 horsepower. Converted using a Subaru SVX engine utilising a RJES full loom. engine mountings and a Kennedy Engineering adapter plate. Silicone hoses. and stainless water pipes.
The engine has received a full service. new timing belt. spark plugs. water pump.   Flat oil sump for clearence.

Automatic transmission has received a service. ATF change and external oil cooler added.

New starter motor fitted. new front discs. pads. wheel bearings. new brake hoses all around. The exhaust was initially very loud. which was great for performance. but defeated the sleeper image. Stainless steel exhaust system with 3 muffler box's to make the bus quieter.

New Bilstien shock absorbers all around.


Audi 16” Alloys with new Dunlops on front and Toyo on the back.   All the hubs have been converted to studs (ease of fitting) and new chrome wheel nuts.

Number plate not included in sale.

You could not build this vehicle for the price I am asking.   This has been overhauled and upgraded.

I may part exchange for a tax exempt classic Bus.

How safe is it, are you interested in a 1989 Automatic, ABS, twin sliding doors 2.1Injection, Central Locking, special more comfortable seating, Coded Bumpers, Choice normal Wheels or Merc aluminium wheels All windows have been removed and cleared of slight rust front window was perfect VW Recon Engine has done 30,000 Miles its finished in a light Gold all seems are good.
