Vauxhall viva HB 2 door 4.6 v8 FOR SPARES/REPAIR MAY BREAK Barn find Hot Rod

Well. where do I start! Built this kinda 10 years back as therapy for divorce! Started off as a rock solid HB Deluxe with 1159cc power!

Replaced with a 3. 5 litre V8. speed manual and a john sharp 4HA scimitar axle with Jag powerlok diff

Eventually the 3. 5 was taken out and a fully rebuilt 4. 6 put it.

The car has run in the 14's on street tyres and a low ratio diff but it was made really to cruise not for the strip

Having sat for 2 years now it needs the brakes/suspension sorting and I don't particularly want to spend any more money on it so will sell as it it for spares/ repair or  happy to break it if the interest is there

The bodyshell has never been welded which is uber rare for one of these. It still has the original wheel arches and outer sills and has never been touched around the bonnet hinges or rear strut mounts etc

When I got originally bought the car it had been off the road for 28 years and only covered 40. 00 miles. I am only the 2nd owner which isn't bad for a 44 years old car!!

Engine starts on the button and starts up on all 8!! Block was ceramic coated before the rebuild stage

The front wings are both rock solid but the paint is starting to crack so this will need addressing. There is no rust or anything just tiny cracks in the paint.

The basic  engine spec is as follows

4. 6 rover v8 cross bolted block fully rebuilt with new rings. ains etc

Highlift cam and gas flowed heads

Huffaker  race inlet manifold with weber 500 carb

Mallory dual point dizzy with Accel super coil

Tvr exhaust manifolds

Running gear.

Rover sdi 5 speed gearbox. Quiet in all gears and no usual whines!

Modified P6 rover propshaft built with new uj's and fully balanced

John Sharp scimitar rear axle 4 linked using existing lower arms with rose jointed uppers and panhard rod (3. 0-1 ratio Powr Lok diff machined to fit. Sierra rear discs and pads fitted to axle

Brakes.

Sierra cosworth rear discs/pads

Ford focus front discs and RS turbo calipers( stud pattern has been changed to ford front and rear)

Braided brake hoses

Ford Cortina master cylinder and pedal box

VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD WITH NO MOT  AS SPARES/REPAIR AS ITS BEEN STANDING FOR THE BEST PART OF 2 YEARS.
