EXCELLENT EQUIVILENT TO A MK2 ESCORT AND MUCH RARER

You are looking at this super rare and very desirable 1973 Vauxhall Viva 1800cc Two door Deluxe. This car was built in the Vauxhall plant at Ellesmere Port and still comes with its original factory build sheet specifying some of the rare options this car had.

This would have been a rare car even when new as specified at the factory as a two door in deluxe trim with the much bigger 1800 engine, Disk brakes, Rostyle wheels and heated rear window plus a high-capacity heater. Its only covered 44,000 miles and has the original dealer handbook and old MOTs etc. to back it up,  

The exterior of the viva is over all very good, It was painted to a very good standard around 10 years ago and is as good underneath as it is on top, Its not perfect and does have some minor imperfections with the worst being some light damage on the drivers door that was caught on the garage door and has had a localized spray repair but its not a great job and could do with correcting professionally (I have a close picture of this) That's the only real negative and the rest of the body and chrome work are all excellent and the car looks very sporty and looks great, If you call at the shops you always get people coming over to talk

The Viva starts runs and drives well and the engine pulls clean, its actually very quick or at least feels it and easily keeps up with modern traffic. Brakes clutch and gearbox are all good, it has two sets of keys with one of them original Vauxhall keys and the car all locks up. It's got good oil pressure and keeps good temperature.

The interior has been updated with high back Mazda seats that look great and are very comfortable, (The original factory reclining seats are included), It got seatbelts all around and more modern carpet has been fitted. The dashboard has been covered with padding that looks of but can easily be removed if it's not for you.

A large amount of spare parts come with the viva including all the original parts that may have been removed including the seats and steering wheel, A complete set of rostyle wheels come with the car along with other interior trim, Plenty of engine service parts included along with everything from a head gasket set to spark plugs all new in packaging, Plenty of rare parts collected over the years enough to keep the car in good shape for years to come

To sum up the overall condition of the Viva is very good and wouldn't embarrass you at a classic car show if you took it tomorrow but that said some minor weekend paintwork would get the car perfect, Its seriously solid every where and has very little signs of rust , Everything works as it should and being tax and MOT exempt is very cheap to keep .

Much rarer than any Mk2 Escort and easily as cool, very rare in an 1800 ,2 Door. You won't find another.
